Why is indirect lighting limited so much?

I have a small cottage and I'm limited to two of these things? What for?

Everyone is limited to 2, regardless of estate size. Even a mansion can only have 2.

Only SE knows the ins and outs of their programming code and what compromises have to be made to get things to function on all platforms. They're not going to give us detailed explanations on why certain items have to be limited while others have no limits (outside of the max item limit). I doubt they're doing it for arbitrary reasons.

I feel like that could be the answer to everything we question tbh. I kinda feel like they would just for the sake of not blinding people or something but even so, only 2 for ALL of the housing sizes? That's a lil bizarre.

Makes no sense to me. If we can have so many fish tanks I would think the system should be able to support more indirect lighting. 2 is very low in my opinion.

One thing I've noticed is that when a bunch of light sources are congregated into one area, it can cause the light to become all wonky to the point that they'll disappear entirely if you turn the camera in a certain direction. So maybe it has something to do with that?
Either way I recall bathtubs used to be limited to 1 of each type per estate but they've since lifted that restriction... maybe/hopefully they'll do the same for the indirect lighting.
