Hello. I had to change home world because the one I was in disappeared (Jenova). I’m now in Courl and when I try to log in the system (PS4) says the retainers name must be changed. I changed 6 times and the system said it was incorrect or wasn’t able to login with that name. What can I do???
Maybe the names were taken and used for other retainers in that server sadly
If the system says you need to change the name, it most likely means they are taken. You need to find new names.
Like others said, you may need to keep trying until you find something that hasn't been taken.
But uh, Jenova still exists...
The world you were in disappeared.....? Jenova is still around I am so confused. Do you not know about the server split?

Jenova exists, when the server split happened, it stayed on aether. You are now on the new Crystal DC. I would suggest googling FFXIV servers to see where all the servers ended up if you are not familiar with the split. As for the retainers, it is most likely that the names you keep choosing are already taken on Coeurl.
