Please, review Blood Weapon buff time

Hello All.

I notice the time of Blood Weapon and Delirium diverge in a very small amount of time, but it's affect gameplay a lot.

Delirium and Blood Weapon, both have 10s of duration, but, for some reason, despite I can apply 5 Bloodspliter with Delirium without a problem, I can't do 5 GCD constantly with Blood Weapon.

I melded SS enough to have a 2.38s GCD (even tested with 2.37), but sometimes it's not enough (i have 200 ping).

The impression I have is that Delirium have a 10.8 secs of buff while Blood Weapon have 10.2, this diference is killing me.

Is this a bug? Anyone know if they did this on purpose?

Try using blood weapon a little later in the off GCD window. Compared to delirium, the animations are different I believe, so the timing can be off. If you pop it too early in-between attacks, it can be inconsistent to get in all 5 attacks. Your ping is also marginal, so you may need to meld even more skill speed in order to do it consistently.

I can't seem to get 5 GCDs in Blood Weapon either. I'm not 80 yet (level 69 now), so my gear isn't endgame or anything. But I've had no problems getting 5 GCDs in my newly acquired Delirium. So yeah, there's definitely a difference. But I think that's been a consistent point of feedback from DRK mains, too. They want Blood Weapon to have the exact same duration as Delirium. And I could definitely get behind that suggestion. :D

It's the animation that cause certain delay that can make you fail the last GCD compared to delirium that his animation is faster and short.

IDK why they change blood weapon and delirium in the first place, old version works perfectly fine, they should revert those changes.

Maybe the intention is to stack both Blood Weapon and Delirium together and spam 5 Bloodspillers for big MP returns, because Blood Weapon works with both Weapon Skill and Spells.

Except for that part where bloodspiller gives an insulting 200 mp per hit under delirium and quietus is just a joke now in any circumstance.

Both windows are independent meaning you can use them both together or separate it doesn't matter the result is the same, the problem of use both at the same time is you increase the chance to don't fit 5 GCD due double weaving both buffs making you not only miss the resources of 1 but 2 of them making it worse, plus both buffs have complete different recast so the chances to have both to repeat the process in a real combat outside of the opener are minimun and most importan not necessary .

Part of the problem with Delirium vs. BW is that Delirium resolves skill usage client-side, whereas BW resolves the MP gain server-side. This means as long as you, on your screen, get a 5th hit in under Delirium, then it'll hit, even if the "hit" doesn't register until after the Delirium buff is done. As long as the skill and GCD are triggered before the buff wears off, you're good to go.
BW doesn't do this. Since it's resolved server-side, you need to actually hit the target for the BW MP gain to resister. Given that most DRK attacks are a bit on the "slow wind-up" side, this make it very easy to miss that 5th attack under BW. The best solution IMO would just be to have BW grant 5 charges of +600 MP gain for the next any-GCD skills used, with a 15s timer on the charges. This gives us ample time to get all 5 hits in with a bit of wiggle room on top of that for contingencies.
