LS bank

If FF is all about community building and team play and all the jazz, why don't we have an LS bank we can store mats on and such. Personally it doens't need to be a bank per say, but certain ward where you have NPCs where you can store mats to be used by the LS.

AN example is I am a miner and an armourer, as such my best friend is a BS, when he is not online I go mining and get materials. As it is now I need to put that stuff on my retainer until he logs on, then we have to meet in the city with my retainer in and and his and we need to spend an hour jugling items bak and forth and so on. Now that we can have 2 retainers this is less a pain, but I want to be able to go into our LS ward, drop off my mining mats on a common retainer which he can pick up at his leisure and melt into mats for me and I can pick them up at my leisure.

With this system you can add all sorts of fun things like special prices for LS mates for crafed stuff or free dependong the LS system. You can also get things like crystal and shard trading, going on in LS. As payment you can pay more for the retiniers in LS wards, or the LS needs to accomlish certain goals to be able to get retainers like buy an LS airship, or kill certain NMs or complete other ingame objectives etc. I know this sounds a lot like wows current achievment system and guild bank, but I know SE can take some really good ideas from this and make it heir own and make it enjoyable in FFXIV.

LS-only stores sounds like a good idea, but I've always found the idea of guild banks to be asking for trouble.

I love a Linkshell Bank or something like wow playing few month of wow that one thing i like about it.

before the market system got the first upgrade, my LS and I highjacked the second last ward in LImsa, central pelicans or something like that. We all had our retainers there and we did a LOT of item trading between 10-15 people on a daily basis doing crafting and keeping people in the best gear and repairs etc. Then when the ward system got fixed, (thankfully) we lost our little club house and I am looking for away to get that back. It does not necessarly need to be an LS bank, and a mailbox woudld fix some of my problems but I think an ls ward or common area for this type of activitly would contribute to the feel of FFXIV, at least for me it would.

Being able to rent and own Linkshell common areas would be pretty cool, kind of like a guild castle or house, maybe the mysterious "Company" system will have it..

Oh i forgot SE said they be adding Linkshell building/airship so we could have a bank within our own linkshell building.

Yea this is my hope as well.

I think this can work if its a NPC it can ask you for which LS do you want to [DEPOSIT] / [RETRIEVE] items from. It can have a [DISPLAY CONTENTS] as well.

If it's just about giving items to other members thats what a delivery box is for..

We don't have they yet, and I think it adheres to the ward system better then just a simple mail box. It is is a nice instance when the fantasy play of the game and better game mechanics can come together at the same time.

with the addition of companies on the horizon, i would like this. a company ward that instances for members of said company so you can trade/sell/store items for your linkshell.

Would be a much nicer way of doing linkshell swap meets than using an empty market ward for it.
