DNC should be more like NIN?

I’ve been working on DNC for a little bit now and I’m still struggling with the concept of the dance steps being apart of the and taking the place of the GCD attacks. I feel like the dance steps should be used like ninjitsu where we can input a quick 3 button combo for the different buffs. They could even do 4 dance steps for more combos of different buffs. Fighting a bunch of flying enemies? Let’s do a dance that increase attack against flying enemies. Need constant regen? Let’s dance that. It’s weird because it’s taking away from our damage. I’m sitting there dancing when I feel I should be attacking. Especially when our dps isn’t the greatest.

I know NIN is getting reworked, so I’d love to see dnc go take over the ninja concept. DNC wouldn’t have to rely heavily on the lag input because the buffs aren’t relying on damage like nin is. So they could have an extra second and not be effected as much.

The potency and effects of the dances, as well as the steps having smaller GCD, makes it fine. DNC could use some QoL love (to the double RNG gates and it's Technical Finish interactions) but it's dance and steps aren't one of them.

If you're wanting to be like another class, I'm not sure NIN is the one you want.

Trust me, DNC is about equal to NIN and comes with some great buffs.

The whole concept about DNC is basically to make others look better, it is not at all about personal dmg.
I honestly hope it gets buffed slightly but i enjoy it as it is. Gameplay wise they should not touch it

Nah i prefer it the way it is~
the Finishing step does a lot of damage so i dont mind it

I think in the end its going to be the other way around and they going to make NIN more like DCN.

I said it before with my raid group, but DNC Dances are what I want out of NIN's Mudras. I can't mess it up, and I get a massive damage hit as compensation. While they lock out my other skills, they're fast.

How is it worse to be a BRD when BRD is at the top for overall raid contribution between the 3 ranged? They lost part of their identity for sure, as did mch, but it is not lacking performance when compared to the other ranged. It leads the others.

ur saying this as The Live letter implied putting Ninjitsu on GCDs like Dancer :P

i think they're intending to make Ninja more like Dancer then making Dancer more Like Ninja :P

the impact this has on higher Ping players are far too high for this idea realistically.
