I just wish that we can glamour accessories on every class/job, be it combat or non combat.
I understand the restriction on armour but accessories shouldn't have the same issue right?

glamour wise, i can generally agree. in fact, aside from crafting and gathering, all acceries were all class anyway until stormblood. the issue wasnt about restricitng glamours, the big issue was they switched for the 5th time how tank damage was calculated back to STR. And the endgame 270 striking accessories for BiS for dps on level 70. it led to... alot of issues before there was a emergency patch that forces accessories then and in the future to be role-locked. that is/was the "same issue" with accessories.
I realize this has nothing to do with accessories for glamour. and you likely already know about this situation. But with how glamour relies on the ability to equip, unless the system is changed, opening it back up could lead to more funky situations (though in the opposite direction, now that tanking accessories have full STR). I think instead of a potentially broken fix, i like the idea of just.... more glamour pieces that just are accessories? We got plenty of completely reused sets of armor from past dungeons/reused sets from different jobs in ShB thus far, so...
The glamour system is basically an extension of the equip system. That is to say if you can equip it then it is glamourable. To make you able to glamour the piece then it needs to be made to be wearable by your class. While in the past Accessories were All Classes it produced issues of Tanks wearing melee DPS accessories to boost their damage output and being squishier as a result and being a problem in normal dungeons. There was also cases back when Cleric stance was an actual stance of Healers wearing Caster accessories to boost their DPS and as a result make their healing worse. The recommended gear button also tends to break, it will look for the highest ilvl in general and throw that on you even if the stats are wrong.
Ultimately its a case of the entire Glamour system itself needs a rework.
Actually the Recommended Gear button does look at stats. I recently leveled 4 of my crafters to 80 and the recommended gear button still made me equip my fully melded lv70 equipment rather than the lv80 white scrip equipment.
I understand and have been through the "tank wearing STR accessories" phase, lord knows how many tanks I've scolded for wearing inappropriate accessories and dying as a result of squishyness.
Maybe they can make it that, if you place the accessory in the Glamour Dresser, it'll no longer be locked to a class/job. It'll just be an image and not an actual item anymore.
They could just simply make a couple more items, like how you can make the replica allagan stuff, just make them for the accessories for their base looks. Probably easier than adjusting the current items to make them glamourable.
Potentially they could look at making accessories being equipped by all classes/jobs again, but it's stats would vary depending on what equips it. So much like the Aetheryte Earring that adapts based on the job and level of the player, could do the same for accessories except it only effects stats based on job/role (and not level as well). This way you could have more glamour options for accessories, although I probably wouldn't want this for left-side gear even though it does feel there is a lot of duplicate stuff (in different shades out there...).
I need the all classes version of the skalla necklace...
