Best way to keep up with arrows?

So as I start leveling Archer, what is the best way to keep up with my arrow limit? Buy from certain vendors or will I need to check retainers? I'm not too into crafting right now...

If you don't mind damage stat, just buy Warped Arrow from NPC.

Warped Arrows, Bronze Arrows, Iron Arrows and Mythril Arrows are all available from vendor NPCs. Bronze, Iron and Steel Arrows are also available from the Grand Company shop. Check them against the retainers to see which is cheapest. Generally, Warped and Bronze Arrows are better gotten from the NPCs. When you get to 38, Mythril Arrows are *very* expensive from the NPCs; the retainers are going to be always better. And with Cobalt Arrows, when you get to 48, retainers are your only choice. On my server (Trabia) at least, the wards are generally always well-supplied with mythril and cobalt arrows.

mm last I checked on my server (Rabanastre) a stack of 999 cobalt arrows totaled 1.6mil....is this unusual?

Wow yes, on my server a stack is about 38k.

They average 45 k on rabanastre. I dunno what arrows he was looking at.

Maybe they were low in stock last night and only the stupid pricey ones were up then, I checked a few stacks and was gawking at the price for 999

Arrows make up much more of your damage now so it's best to keep fairly up-to-date on them. As was stated, the vendors and Grand Company suppliers have arrows up to the mid levels.
