Translation of the Development Panel in Shanghai China

Hi everyone,

As you know, Shanghai is hosting a Fanfest this weekend. This time Yoshi-p and Mr.Yosuke Hayashi (Leader of item designing team) participated in the Development Panel.

I did not see the translation of this part, so I tried to do it :) and its done. hopefully you will enjoy it. the DOC file is too large because it contains many screenshots, so I can only upload and share this PDF version.

In this Development Panel, Hayashi-san shared us how he made items with the example of new eden gears. Also, he shared some interesting stories happened in the dev team. And most importantly, he brought some gifts as an item designer.


And I am not a native English speaker, so if you find some stupid mistake or something not clear, plz leave comments and I will check out :). Feel free to share this document with those who want to know the process of item designing in FFXIV.

(//during 4-year anniversary of CN version last year, a player asked a question to Hayashi-san and Yoshida-san that why not add an umbrella mount in the game, they said there are many difficult problems with it, like how it flying, will the ground under it don’t wet during the rain, will our gear don’t get wet etc. Many players did not put it in mind but I could not believe they still remember//)
