Technically 1 more day till SERVER "Restart", and emphasize on Technically >.<

not really lol, its more like 1 more day till they will tell us whether server is good to go up or further xtention!

don't get me wrong i would love to see the game back up and be playing again, but the people of japan have much more important stuff to worry about that a game at this time. i just hope for a speedy recovery for the region.

This. Don't all get too psyched yet, it's not 100% going to be back this week.

march 22nd is just the day they will reconsider about the situation

and if you watch the news, Japan still have issues with reactors

I'm not expecting XI or XIV up until at least mid April. Until TEPCO has the current situation under control with the reactors, it's very likely the power situation will continue for a while. They sort of have their focus elsewhere. Even working as fast as they can, these sort of situations never are resolved quickly. The estimates are lowballed to reduce any anticipation or frustation, and then they keep extending them hoping that constant extensions cause few problems than a high estimation at the start.

If I'm SE, I will not launch them now. imagine when you do it, the whole country will stare at you and ask "WTF you doing?"

It's possible, but I doubt it'll happen. I mean, it's not really even up to SE.

Which could be a good excuse for them only restarting ffxi when they do (probably not on the 22nd). They could say they only have enough power for ffxi, while they keep getting a nice patch for ffxiv ready. Having a patch ready may help draw people who have left for other games.
