Server merge concerns!

So my friends and I noticed that we were going to be merged into durandal,which we were cool with so we didn't apply for a merger. Then I read this thread

now Im worried we might be "randomly selected" into other servers, so I went to apply for a merge and....everything but ragnarok is listed as "no space' and ragnarok is recommended for a timezone other than our own.

Can I get a dev response? how is this working? Is there a chance we will be randomly separated? I'm really worried now.

You should't. If you read the entire topic, it's just an attempt to give fault to SE for one man's mistake, and the screenshot of that email it turned out fishy at least

Yeah, what Yukikaze said. It's a false claim. SE isn't randomly selecting people to switch servers.

The "randomly being selected" was complete BS. Their friend moved to a different server then couldn't move back.
If you leave the application form alone and DO NOTHING ON IT you'll stay with your default server and not move.
