FFXIV Fashion makes me sad at times.

I Eorzea I just assume fashion is spearheaded by the Elezen so it tends to be uhh flamboyant? For some reason on the first I was expecting armor styles to be grittier more apocalyptic. Like the new Gaius and his merry band!

Today I go to check out the new deepshadow gear, The Deepshadow Boots of casting they have like 3-4 inch heels on them skinny heels at that! C'mon on Yoshi-San! I play a 200lb 6'4 Highlander how is he suppose to scrabble around cliffs and jump off of towers in those?! And what about his flat feet! Bad enough you got me in those robes but now these? Some times i feel like they deliberately emasculate Male casters.

Maybe there is some kind of Unspoken gender role distinction( I don't know what that means either don't look at me like that!) in FF I'm unaware of like only females and lalafels are casters and healers.

Yes I'm aware of glamour I just felt like making a stupid post.

You need stilettos as surprise backup weapons. This is combat 101.

Post apocalyptic makeshift armor due to limited resources would make sens for the NPCs aye.
Not for our characters though, we have the resources and knowledge of two worlds at our fingertips.

That being said: have you seen Roses taste on the weekly fashion challenge in the Golden Saucer?

I'd take an Elezen armor over these clown costumes any day of the week.

This is true since I play RDM I could always take them off and throw them when I run out of mana.

Yeah I sneak in late at night so no one sees me.

I saw this title and since I run the blog XIV Fashion I was about to be hurt. XD

That said - the boots are made for black mages, to make it too painful to move so they are encouraged to teleport around or stand in ley lines forever.

I feel the same. Healers get shafted when it comes to gear looks. Always some robe with a hoop skirt underneath to make it extend out in some unflattering shape.

Oversized and floating shoulderpads... again...

Not usual for me to complain about clipping but the collar on the MNK/SAM set also clips through my face when wielding a katana.

The person who designs costumes needs to not only get fired, but to also never work again in the industry.

The NIN one looks great on casters/healers... Though they could have dropped that extra cloak.

well I liked the armor styles of shadowbringers but some stuff I can do without like.
I want like armor though without the skirts or dresses and little more evil or heroish look.

tired walking around like im going to start blowing on bagpipes and actually look like im ready for battle.
