Future bard weapons

Can bards in the future lose damage output in exchange for using an actual instrument which will add its own unique song type spell to your action bar. Instruments could come in a wide variety. the animators cringe

Yeah, and please an animation that actually plays instruments. Or sings. Or whistles. Something.

I'd love for it to be like DD bard builds and support bard builds.

Need this so bad, they're just crappy EQ orb graphics right now -__- At least they added notes to the effects this patch...........

What do yall think of the loss of damage out put as powerful as archers are known for? they could have a drain type song for the enemy. the chorus 'dont stop believing, hold onto that feeling!' played non stop

I'd really welcome more debuffs into the game. But it wouldn't have much of a use outside boss battles as they are all over far too soon.

I would like to see bard attack with notes.

While I do want an actual animation for playing a song, I don't believe that becoming a non-combat party role is what the game needs. Bard would essentially become a 4-6 button class, and it would fall into the stereotypical role of the past, which I'd rather keep it broken out of.

In addition to the Bow Harp, Bard should get a Bow Flute/Horn or Drum... The type of instrument could impact the effectiveness, range, or duration of the song.

The animations and sound fx of the bard spells are placeholders currently. Just have to wait for the real deal.

Yea offhand weapon would work.
