Apex Arrow tooltip is VERY VERY VERY misleading.

This is the current phrasing of the tooltip:

This is what it SHOULD be rephrased to:

Soul Voice Gauge cost: 20
Potency increases as Soul Voice Gauge exceeds minimum cost.
Consumes Soul Voice Gauge upon execution.

The former implies the skill delivers 500 potency at 20 gauge, but scales up beyond 500 when the Soul Voice Gauge >20. In reality, it delivers a 100 potency attack at 20 gauge and scales up to 500 at 100 gauge. There are no doubt thousands of Bards that were confused and disappointed by this.

I feel like this expac has had some poorly worded tooltips. The English tooltips DNC's Esprit was also poorly worded: "Grants Esprit to self and nearby party members upon successfully executing Standard Finish or Technical Finish. The Esprit Gauge will accumulate when you or party members under the effect of Esprit land a weaponskill or cast a spell."

This makes it sound like it's pretty cut and dry, but it's actually a RNG chance of accumulating Esprit AND that chance varies by the class. The second bit about class difference was included in the Japanese tooltip, but not the English. It caused me no small amount of confusion when I first got the ability. When I looked into it and found out it was RNG I was disappointed. And then I got salty when I learned about the loss of info from Japanese to English.

Agree on the misleading tooltip.

That aside, I wouldn't mind if they reduced the aoe portion of its damage in exchange for a bit higher usage of the ability.
As it stands now in single target fights it seems you only use the ability about once every 40 seconds or so. I wouldn't mind the
soul voice gauge increasing maybe 8 instead of 5 for procs.

Any changes to Apex Arrow should be kept to some whole multiple of 100, be it 2, 4, 5, 10. Not 8, as it will clip every time you try to raise it to 100. And a 40s cooldown isn't out of the ordinary, so I'm not sure why it would need to exactly be changed from that.

You're right, a 40s (ish) cooldown isn't out of the ordinary, but it doesn't feel particularly powerful for having to wait that long
and it isn't even off the GCD. Meanwhile you have PP, an ogcd move with 400 something potency that procs around every 8 seconds
(guesstimate) with WM up.

Granted on AOE Apex Arrow is pretty nice, but I'd be willing to trade some of that AOE damage for more uses of the ability overall
since Bards are still pretty good at AOE damage the last I checked.
