https://ffxivcensus.com/ can give you an idea though not sure of the accuracy. (It says July 2019 at the time of writing)
If all classes are equal, then it means there is 10 DPS for every 3 healers and 4 tanks. This corresponds with what I've been able to tell. Without going into the quick and dirty math behind it.. a 15 minute queue translates there to being at least 3-4 DPS per tank in the queue. A 20-25 minute queue is about 4-5 DPS, and 45 minute queues means things are really out of wack.
If we had 5 tank and 5 healer classes, and all classes were equally played, then we'd see parity in queues and very short queues at that.
I doubt we'll see that perfect world scenario though.
Nah, there wouldn't be. I had all my jobs to 70 in 4.0, so counted towards active tanks and healers, but only played dps in duty finder.
You can see this now with tanks. At 5.0 launch, adv in need was healer 99% of the time. Tank queues were awful. Now, its more of a mix between tank and healer, as all of the people who really wanted to level drk/gnb for the expansion are done, after realizing they are still tanks, and they still are too anxious or w/e about tanking, and have moved back to dps.
