Possible to make a macro-icon change during combat?

Hi

I was just wondering if it's possible to make the icon of a macro change when another ability becomes available to use?

What I'm looking for is a macro that switches icon between Royal Authority and Atonement whenever Atonement is available.

Currently the macro is just:

/micon "Royal Authority"
/ac "Atonement"
/ac "Atonement"
/ac "Royal Authority"

This makes me use Royal Authority, or Atonement whenever it's available (the second row of Atonement is just there so I can spam the button without it accidentally using Royal Authority instead due to lag). The problem is that the icon only displays Royal Authority, and I would like the icon to change to Atonement when it's available - like how during PVP the button actually switches into Atonement.

If you don't know what Royal Authority and Atonement do, they are two paladin abilities; Royal Authority is the third combo ability and Atonement activates (with three charges) after you use Royal Authority.

It seems unlikely, but is this possible? Thanks :o

The macro system doesn't support this. Icons for skills that upgrade will update automatically, but skills that are entirely separate cannot change without a hotbar swap, and such a swap would render the purpose of the swap moot because your button would just alternate between Royal Authority and Atonement as you spammed it, without accounting for the three charges.

I don't recommend the use of macros for this, but if you're really set on it, use the Atonement icon instead of Royal Authority. It'll darken when you have no Sword Oath stacks, which will give you more information than the Royal Authority button which will always be lit.
