Leveling Trusts to 80

Update: They dramatically increased the XP earned by trusts for each dungeon.

Level 71 went from 2,500,000 to 6,250,000
Level 73 went from 3,190,000 to 7,975,000
Level 75 went from 3,960,000 to 9,900,000
Level 77 went from 4,810,000 to 12,025,000
Level 79 went from 5,740,000 to 14,350,000

Required dungeon runs look like this now. So they basically cut the required runs in half.

Levels 72 - 78 require 3 dungeon runs each.

Levels 79 - 80 require 4 dungeon runs each.

This assumes you're doing the maximum level dungeon available.

Glamours are unlocked on an individual character basis, so you don't need to level all six to unlock alternate outfits.

Wasnt nearly as bad as I thought it was going to be. I have a ton of armor for future classes.

Also picked up two minions, three triple triad cards, & four orchestration rolls. Got some extras of minions and orchestration rolls I was able to sell on the MB for a little extra gil.

Gonna take a break before I start on the other three trusts though.

Maybe its because I'm only 50 and haven't played the game for more than a month but what does it mean "leveling trusts to 80"?

You there, friend have a lot of patience. I have to force myself to use them since they dont use AOE abilities and the dungeon runs are SOO LOONNG. So, good for you and congratulations!

The trust system was added in 5.0 for dungeons in the "Shadowbringers" expansion. As you're going through the Shadowbringers Main Scenario Quests you can use "Trusts", which are NPC companions like Alphinaud and Alisae, to go through said Shadowbringers dungeons. While you're going through the MSQ they will always be the level of the dungeon you're trying to run with them. However... after you beat the Shadowbringers MSQ, they all get de-leveled back to 71 and you have to level them back up again if you want to run higher level dungeons with them again. They also level slower than you so you're looking at a lot of hours if you want to level even just 3 of them back to 80.

Hope that explanation was short, yet thorough enough.

I've managed to level 3 of my trusts companions to 72. At 30ish minutes per run, even if the total runs to get each level isn't bad, is a large overall time investment. Not complaining though. We have 2 years to chip away at this, and I plan to at least partially level multiple classes with trusts. I fully expect to have them done long before the next expansion.

I gave up on them after around 4 runs on the first dungeon. I don't need any loot from the place, and it will be the same for any later one they level into, so there's no point in using them.

The new patch notes mentions they've lowered the exp required to level trusts, thankfully.

Yea I was a bit sad to find this out as I maxed my trusts about an hour before maintenance. But it's still a good change for any other trusts they add(if they add anymore....)
