How to fix Cover

As a PLD main, I love the idea of Cover, but there is a fundamental problem with the skill: range. While it works great as an off tank, if you're the main tank you've got an issue with the unspoken rule of "Don't stand near the tank". And if you wish to cover someone, it often means pulling the boss/mobs towards everyone else just to save the one guy (which, who are we kidding, is probably gonna kill himself again anyways).

Suggestion: Put a rescue effect on Cover to pull a party member towards you if you have Tank Stance on. If you have it off, then cover works as it did so it makes OT->MT cover work as it does currently.

I don't know about this. Main reason is the place that your party members already are is where they need to be to be most effective. So think about it. For casters, you'd be interrupting their casts. For melees you'd be messing up their positionals.

So I don't agree with a rescue effect. Maybe a range extension at most.

Pretty sure being killed by an AoE is a much bigger disturbance than a rescue messing with your casting/positionals.

Pretty sure being pulled into an AoE tank buster is likewise a much bigger disturbance. Cover is a very situational ability, at its best for saving the MT while in OT position or keeping a healer alive who has been caught in a very bad position.

No no and no. We don't need a tank version of rescue. If you wanna protect someone next you, use Cover. If you wanna protection someone from a distance, use intervention. simple as that.

PLD main as well, and I gotta say that I strongly disagree. The last thing we need is another version of that cursed skill. I do think Cover was nerfed a bit too much though.
