Why not make the double xp buff a purchase-able thing, like the Journals?

You have people vying for spots on servers that get crammed full of people and then they play til exhaustion because of this "Road to 70" (previously Road to 60) buff. It affects everything they do. But if you made it something they could purchase, they could set aside time and level on their own time. It would have to be priced proportionately, as you can level quickly, but it's not the same as buying a journal.

They could purchase it for X amount of in game hours that way they're not rushed to spend their time, and they would be able to play the game at their pace, and if they wanted more they could buy more. This would also let people level classes without having to buy the journals and understand the classes without getting the instant max level and expecting people to understand the classes. The buff would have to be pretty cheap, maybe a couple of extra bucks a month, but that way everyone would be able to get the buff and people wouldn't be wanting for it and vying for spots on a preferred server or be wishing they had made a character on a preferred server.

Who has ever rushed to level with that boost? Even just with rested exp, Heat of Battle, etc. I'm blasting through 70 to 80 and I'm way ahead of my current quests just from doing a single leveling roulette every day. I've seen people level up like 4 times in a single low level dungeon when they're under like level 30.

I don't think what you're referring to is really such a universal problem.

It's actually something that's come up in my FC chat, that people would like a way to increase leveling speed, but not buy journals. I know people have used the preferred server status to level characters. I certainly have. Others have. But it's anecdotal. All I'm saying is that if they offered a way for someone to say, get a month's worth of time of double experience, people would probably buy it.

People don't want to buy journals because they want to learn the job but they want to level quickly. The armory boost is nice. Combo that with a booster from the shop for double xp, and you have a happy camper. It's just a request.
