It's only 10k per quest. Why are they dragging out the levelling process for crafters? They give away the rarest and most highly sought after recipes in dungeons and treasure maps for non-crafters nowadays anyway, so it's not like it's the only way to make money.
Which beast tribe and what level are you? Each Beast Tribes exp gets reduced to 10k xp the moment you outlevel it, 50 for Ixal, 60 for Moogle and 70 for Namazu. This is so you can't just beast tribe quest your way to 80, and actually have to work on it the intended way - actual crafting with real materials.
At some point much, much later in the expansion they'll release a crafting beast tribe for ShB, until then you'll just have to make do with levequests, GC turn ins and the Crystalline Mean
