With the state of SMN in this expansion, I think it's time to revisit the class and bring forth its true potential. With that in mind, I propose that the job should be called Venomancer (VNM).
Along with the name change, some spells will need adjustments as well:
- Egis are useless, so we'll transform them into Egi-poisons (to contribute to the Job Fantasy)
- Ifrit -> Inflammation
- Garuda -> Feeling Under the Weather
- Titan -> Minor Inconvenience
- Egi Assault I-II will be called Poison Assault I-II and will deal 50 potency damage if any of these 3 Egi-poisons are applied
- No changes to Festeruins/Bio/Miasma/Fester since they contribute to the Job Fantasy, the more dots you have on the target, the more damage you do
- DB and DP will be changed into Poison Cloud (PC) and Aetheroactive Cloud (AC), they are basically the same (same potencies and all), but they contribute to Job Fantasy
- Entering into a trance for summoning these clouds will have you drinking poison flasks and eating amanita mushrooms
- Enkindle PC will be called Green Rose, Enkindle AC will be called Black Rose
- PC and AC will be better than DB and DP, because they'll attack with a huge range and they'll stay in place, meaning they won't waste time moving
- No changes to Physick, since you're poisoning stuff, you shouldn't be healing them
