Leveling Up trusts should not be a thing.

Like the title says. The trust system was shown to be a brand new feature in the game and for the most part it works. But why do i need to level them up? Doing Dungeon runs with them take far to long and all i want to do is maybe finish up a level up with a fast Q but i cant because they are still stuck at lvl 71. what really throws me for a loop is the fact that this gets revealed to you after you beat the Expansion.

I am sorry i really hate this one aspect of the Trust system and would love some support to hopefully get this taken out.

EDIT: OMG thats not even to mention that you need to level up each member separately. The lvl 71 dungeon takes about 5 runs to level up 3, and each run can take you like 40 minutes.

I imagine it's to give a kind of long term activity on the side not something to be done immediately, similar to how you would have leveled up your squadrons so to speak. Once you finish the MSQ there is no need to run them again for MSQ purposes, but for leveling up and whatnot they still want to encourage you to use the Duty Finder and play with others.

If you level two jobs of the same role with trusts, you can max out a full trust party as you level those two jobs with only the runs required to get from 71 to 80 on your two jobs. If you level two jobs of different roles, you will a require a third job of the missing role in order to max out a full trust party.

Maxing out a trust party by leveling two jobs of the same role, or one job of each role, isn't that bad.

I agree. It was a major let down when I realized they needed to be leveled up after they already ran a level 80 dungeon with me. I like the trust system because I don't get many chances to run regular dungeons so I guess it gives me something to work on. If they keep this system then they should make it so all of them get xp when you run a dungeon.

It's 6 runs of the highest dungeon per level. So you need 120 runs in total to lvl up all of them to 80, which is almost 60 hours. Good luck to y'all.

I could have sworn the dev team said that trusts were initially made to get you through the story without having to wait in queues.

So, it makes sense to me that after you finish the MSQ they drop back down to 71. It turns into something extra for you to do after you've completwd story content.

In theory I'm fine with leveling them.

Six runs to level the npcs ONCE is too much. It should be like three runs per level IMO. If they cut it down to that I may actually use the system.

To be fair, no one is forcing anyone to use them. Ever.
If you hate it that much, don't use them.

Do DPS ques suck? Yeah, but runs with real people tend to be faster.

Trust was never meant to be as efficient and fast as playing with real people. So really, it depends on what you want more; Fast ques but longer runs, or longer ques and faster runs?

Although I do agree that they should buff the EXP the NPCs get. While I personally have no problem with it, I can understand why it's a bit much for some people, although I also hope that they won't 'overbuff' the exp gain.

Leveling them is an optional thing yes, so it shouldn't be too hard, but it also shouldn't be too easy/fast. There's gotta be some middle ground.
But EXP for NPCs you don't take along would not make sense. You could also say Squad members you don't take with you into dungeons/send on missions should get exp, but that's also weird. So I hope they won't do that.

Even if your dungeon takes longer you are instant queuing vs waiting 20 mins as a DPS, then running a dungeon in 15-20 mins. You also have to think you are netting all the loot in that dungeon on top of the class specific item given to you for beating it, which in turn can be used for alts classes you level later or turned in / sold.

If you are a competitionist who likes to max systems then you probably are also someone who will max out multiple classes. Not everything needs to be maxed out within a month.

I've been spamming trusts on my alt jobs, leveling each job evenly. So far I've gotten to 73 on all melee jobs and all my trusts are 73+ obviously since I haven't started leveling tanks yet thancred is the highest since he's the only tank. Which is my only gripe so far that we only have 1 trust tank to level.
