A "hide tail" option would help alleviate the frustration of clipping with gear

Especially since certain NPCs already do this. There is a lot of gear where it would make perfect sense for a Miqo or Au Ra to tuck their tail down (such as the Nomad's coats of fending or healing, or the Ravel Keeper's Chestwrap of Healing).

It's unreasonable to adapt every item so that Au Ra and Miqo never clip with it, but an option to disable clipping by hiding the tail would alleviate the need for such a feature, while still being convenient for people who are really bothered by that clipping.

A bump for support.

I'd like the idea if it were limited to gear with which it makes sense. But allowing it where it doesn't make sense could get kind of creepy. Body parts aren't things you can put on and take off like a hat.
