QoL I feel we need - Show barriers on our normal HP bar/How big it is

We can put barriers on people. We can see the barriers on the party HP bar. But I feel like we need to see the barrier on our normal HP bar. It's easier for us as players to see, and I feel like seeing it on the bigger HP bar would make it quicker to register just how big of a barrier we have on us. Maybe make it a contrasting colour to the green we have.

One reason why I'm saying this, is if we're solo we can't see how big the barrier is and we have to rely on remembering how big it was, but when we take zero damage while the barrier is up, not knowing how much is left.

And to possibly add a second smaller number above the bar to tell us by number how big it is as well?

People would know right then and there how big the barrier is at a glance, unlike when we look at our party listing. Any thoughts?

As a SCH main this is a suggestion I could get behind. It would definitely help to see barriers put on ourselves when not in a group and just in general to be able to have a better idea of how its going. Easier communication would be feasible between players as well if it was more directly in front of them.

Agreed. Having information be available in multiple places is nice for customization and continuity. I'd also like to have barriers show up anywhere hp bars show up (make this an option of course. I can see how adding too much information can be clutter) such as when targeting another player.

This is something that multiple MMOs seem to have a lot of difficulty with. I don't know why it's so hard to add a visual object showing how much barrier remains. Surely it can't be so complex considering we have HP bars already. But, I admit my ignorance on the matter knowing only very basics of this.

I was thinking that maybe they could just put an invisible bar over where the HP is, and ONLY have it fill up when a barrier is there.

There's an option to make the party list appear even when solo, forget where in the settings it's at, but this way you have the party list with your name in it and that shows the shield bar. I tend to forget we have a big green HP bar cause I just keep the party list near my character from when I mained healers and use that to keep track of my HP/MP
