So are we going to have to wait until after Savage releases to expect changes?

Just wondering what the crowd of people who told others that they needed to play the class to know how it would play are going to say. They already implied we couldn't read and understand tooltips nor apply the changes in a way that would help us understand how our own class would play. Now that it's out and the changes suck (to the surprise of no one) and the healing isn't intense (it was never going to be)...

I'm just wondering where the goalpost is going to move. Do we have enough data yet to say that the healers suck to play as and have been dumbed down considerable? Are we allowed to say that in the hardest content in 5.0 can be solo healed by any of the trio and that Scholars overflow on Aetherflow so much that and that fairy gauge pays off so little that we'd rather waste stacks of Aetherflow by using it on CD then actually clipping Broils?

I think the cycle is some minor changes for normal and then the bulk of the changes for savage.

Historically there has always been a massive balance patch when either normal mode or savage gets released so in 5 days or a little under 3 weeks. I'm optimistic about it, things have been like this before. In heavensward class previews, there was outrage from brd/mch mains who saw the changes to their class. Nothing was changed when early access hit, but when SE realized that everyone was right, they got some big changes 2 weeks after release. The same thing happened with stormblood sch and war except they were fixed 4 weeks in on savage release. While the developers have made pretty questionable design choices many times, they've usually been pretty good about listening to player feedback. Thank heavens this isn't blizzard we're dealing with.

We will get a set of changes when the normal raid comes out in 5.01 and some stuff in 5.05 when the savage stuff comes out but ya I would say nothing groundbreaking until patch 5.07 which would probably be 3-4 weeks after savage comes out for any meaningful changes to the healers.

However I do agree as of now most of it changes were really lackluster outside of a few moves.

Are you sure about that?

probably because they need actual raid data to be sure about what needs fixing and what doesnt, although obviously there are some glaring issues that need fixing before the raids release IMO

remember when there was a 100+ page subject about WHM lillies being useless in stormblood, and it still stayed useless for a whole extension? (the update just made us able to have more useless lillies.)

I find SCH quite enjoyable to play for everything above lvl 60.
The new healing tools are great, seraph rocks.

If you really think all healers are horrible now, pls feel free to switch; i like being in need.

Oh, you enjoy casting Broil II 12-13 times per Biolysis as your entire rotation? And you also enjoy having more Aetherflow stacks than you could possibly spend? That's great! Seems like this update to Scholar was catered to your skillset. If they ever add back Energy Drain or something else, please feel free to continue to press two buttons. I, like many others, would prefer there to be a higher skill ceiling. We're not asking players, such as yourself, to attempt to play above your means. We just want options.

I think healers are horrible so i switched. Now i'm sitting in a queue waiting for someone who enjoys 1 button gameplay. Trying to solve that by switching back to a healer will get me stuck in a loop. Having people other than you to also enjoy healers is the only solution.
