[Suggestion] ShB Music-Changing NPC

During progression of the Shadowbringers MSQ, the music for certain zones will change with no way to change it back, which is unfortunate for people who prefer the original themes over the newer ones. While getting Orchestrion rolls for the old themes would be fantastic, I would love it if we had the option to have them back in the zones themselves as well.

My suggestion is to maybe implement an NPC (a bard perhaps, with the implication that they're playing the background music and all that) in each of the applicable zones (or put one in either of the hub areas). They could appear after completion of the Main Scenario and when spoken to, offer a line or two of dialogue about what they're doing then ask the player if there is something in particular they'd like to hear :

• "Play me something nostalgic/somber." (Old theme)
• "Play me something uplifting/cheery." (New/current theme)

Something along the lines of that, maybe? Thought it might be a neat idea.
Either way please SE let me listen to the old stuff again!

This is no different to previous FF games where the world map music would change after a certain point in the story (usually due to a story event), such as Dark World replacing Terra's Theme when the world changes to the World of Ruin in FFVI, The Great Northern Cave replacing Main Theme of FFVII on the world map after Meteor is summoned in FFVII, Rebirth of the Mist replacing Crossing Those Hills in FFIX on the world map upon reaching disc 4, etc etc.

The best you can hope for is simply to ask for the tracks you like to be added to the Orchestrion, as having BGM change according to changes to the world as a result of the story are very much in keeping with past FF games and they are not going to change it (they did not already give the option to change ARR zone music to the original 1.0 tracks for starters, and Soken even stated that this was because the new zones did not really fit the themes of the older 1.0 tracks.).

Yeah, I miss the old tracks, too. It makes sense for them to change, but I still prefer Kholusia's light song as opposed to it's new song. Even if it wasn't an NPC, it'd be nice if they could set it as an option via settings, like how you can turn on or off battle music.

Yes, I am aware of this. It just so happens that I prefer say, the "Everlasting Light" themes for Kholusia and Eulmore over their new day themes. I'm fine with the night theme (since I obviously have nothing to compare it to lol), but I'd like the ability to switch out the day theme.
