GNB Weapon Out Idle on Male Roegadyn is Odd

I saw a few other people making threads about animation quirks and errors so I thought I might throw my hat in.

Does anyone else playing GNB on a male Roe think the weapon out idle stance would look more at home on an Elezen? The arms are very outstretched and the feet are so close together, it really feels like it was rigged to accentuate an Elezen's longer limbs and wider hips. On Roe this pose just kind looks... strange.

It may just be my opinion but by minimizing the width of their stance the idle sort of draws attention to all the wrong things with the male Roe model, like how their legs are kind of stubby, which is even further exacerbated by how widely they thrust out their arms. It overplays how top heavy they are, drawing attention to just how disproportionately large their top half is. It stands out even more considering that the other tank class idles on Roe aren't like this, and opt for a wider stance that play to the strengths of the stylized anatomy they were given.

Just an observation, and don't know if this would be something that the dev team might ever consider changing, but I'd very much welcome if the stance was brought in line with the other tank idles. Has anyone else been bothered by this?

Weapon cposes are entirely dictated by gender, and not race, unlike cposes for when your weapon is sheathed.

People have been calling for weapon cposes to be unlocked for years, especially when you consider so many people playing male dark knights wanted the female weapon cpose, and many female characters such as myself wanting the male variant.
If SE has been unwilling to unlock the cposes gender lock, i doubt they would give special treatment to roe's male GNB cpose. If they did, they better give us everything else we've been asking for in regards to cposes (such as, mentioned before, unlocking gender specific weapon cposes and allowing us to choose, which would just make too much sense)

Specifically why I was posting is because there are a few other instances of races getting adjustments in their animations as to accommodate the model, such as DRG Roes holding their spears up instead of down to keep from clipping the ground. I thought this could be a similar situation, since it looks so strange.

And I agree with you on all fronts, cposes should be unlocked. I was only posting about male Roe because I haven't seen the pose on female, but honestly it probably would look just as janked. I guess the only thing we can do as consumers is be vocal, though.

Honestly, the male one is overall weird looking. We look so stiff with it that it's kinda lame. Should just give us the Seifer Almasy pose or something a bit more "battle stance" like. Side note, our Vpose is kinda dumb too since the cartridge load animation doesn't even touch the gun half the time and it doesn't really look good to fake shoot it off... Especially when it's designed not to shoot bullets.

The pose is suppose to simulate Squall's pose in Dissidia NT for those that are unaware of its origin. It does look strange in the angle you used but that can be said of many things. They probably won't add a unique cpose for Roegadyn's using GNB, that would add an extra unique pose to that race like how they have one for WAR and would probably cause others to start asking for unique poses for all races.

I feel like using dissidia as their reference is not a good idea tbh. We should just have one of FF8's poses for the gunblade instead imo but meh.
