I need to know, if I start streaming on Twitch a crafter/gatherer market for personal in-game commissions for gil and material trades, without real life money involvement, would that be against ToS for FFXIV in some way? It seems like it has the potential to be a meta-market for in-game business, without using the market board
As long as it is for in-game currency, no. There is nothing wrong with not using the market board.
Honestly, I posted about livestreaming earlier. I would think it's against ToS for commercial use/commercial advertisement if you're promoting something - like one's art - because there's really no way to tell if one is actually getting money by promoting themselves for views... at the same time, I'm not even sure if earning money is the end all be all of what's allowed and what isn't for advertisement/self-promotion. But I don't know. It'd be nice if the ToS could be clarified about things regarding that.
