[Spoilers]The One This I Disliked About ShB Story

After the cutscenes on beating Innocence and collecting the final Warden's Aether you wake up basically alone in your room. All of the scions, in their eagerness/desparation to find a way to save you, left you alone. If we weren't haunted by Ardbert we would've been entirely alone to stew about the most traumatic experience we've faced since Haurchefant. It makes me so sad that they weren't there and didn't show up until you were about to leave the city to hunt down Emet-Selch and save Exarch.

At that point the rest of the Scions were out in the world, trying to hunt down a cure for you in the various locations you had visited up until that point. I imagine that as soon as you were spotted awake runner went out via the aetherytes and tracked them down quickly to bring them back. So it's not that they didn't want to be there, they just wanted to find a way to cure you more and knew that if there was any chance of such a cure existing it was worth pursuing. Even over staying at your bedside.

So if there were something you could possibly do to save someone close that involved going out asap to try to find what it was, would you just sit on your ass and wait for them to wake up?

You'd think that hearing that friends are trying everything they can to help you would be much more comforting than them just sitting around you telling you 'it'll be ok' or whatever...wasting who knows how much time just waiting around for someone to wake up, if there's a chance that SOMETHING could be done.

They brought you back to the inn to rest and everything. They were there for you so you weren't just lying unconscious where Emet or whatever could just waltz up and grab you and bring you somewhere else. That not enough?

If Emet-Selch wanted to come and get you nothing was stopping him, since he can basically appear where ever he wants to. :3 I do understand the Scions are all get shit done type of people, but they could've at least had shifts going to keep an eye on you, in case you turn in your sleep or something... (though I honestly doubt Thancred allowed Ryne to go too far seeing as she's the only one capable of slowing your transformation, and seeing as it would probably be quite obvious to both her and Y'shtola that something was going wrong with your aether)

It's simple really, they can't afford to stay at your side - they have to search for a cure. One scion waiting at your bedside is one scion that isn't searching for a way to save the most important person in existence right now. More still is if the WoL started to turn right then and there; well, there's no stopping them. They would have rampaged and slaughtered everyone. If anything it was pretty silly that they were brought to the hub where they could have gone nuclear.

Quite true, quite true... maybe I'm just projecting a bit, with how I view my character would react to this situation. I feel like there should have be more options to show how scared you are, but then you tend to show your strong face in public no matter the situation.
