My feeling on [5.0] Bard Shadowbringers

But from reading this review, I really would like to ask if people really don't want to support as a bard? Because to me picking Bard in the beginning is the job that sing to support the team while can do decent amount of DPS.

Yes, I love the fact that refulgent is now proc more reliably and can be at will so I don't need to waste Barrage on Emphyreal.

What I didn't expect is somehow the title of "support DPS" is shoved into Dancer simply because it's the new job.

We had three songs, though they do the same crit% buff, but it's in a sense was a song to help ally 2% whole fight is really powerful. And each songs give different Trapadour effects, even more unique.

Now Troubadour is just, welp defense buff the same as Tactician and Defense Samba. These abilities do not stack, meaning it's the same ability with different names.

I didn't have it in mind that I would like Bard to have the HIGHEST DPS. If I want the highest range DPS, I would just go play MCH in HW or BLM in ARR from the beginning.

To me, what makes the job fun is not just about which is the meta in endgame raid, it's the fantasy title of RPG as well.

I do not mind that DNC has to be more of a support than Bard, but I don't see why we need our FR to be removed. The songs could instead of giving crit, gives % direct hit instead and DNC can have the crit%.

Refresh, TP refresh and Palisade are all gone for....Apex Arrow.

I could honestly said, I can do without Apex Arrow. It's slow and abit weird to get to 500 potency.

In conclusion, it feels too cop out and one dimensional like how all the cards for AST is just....damage buff so it's a worse version of WHM with RNG.

But Bard, luckily, is still in a better state.

I'm worried with the direction of some jobs that their differences are starting to blur.
