I should be able to have 2 Security Tokens attached to my SE Account

I should be able to have 2 Security Tokens attached to my SE Account.. I bought the first Security Token when SE announced that we could expand our gobbie bag in FFXI, granted we attach this extra security to our account. I understand the necessity of having extra security, but in all honest truth, this Security Token never leaves my computer desk in case I lose it. This causes me to not be able to access my account when I am away from my home PC. Now I have two Security Tokens due to the collectors edition being supplied with one. I would like to have both work on my account. I know it will dilute my security by half, but 1 in a million becoming 1 in 500,000 is still not that bad for the convenience of having an extra token that works.

Please, I am asking SE to allow the use of at least 2 Tokens at one time. In retort to a most definite response from everyone, please take a moment and consider the actual process it would take to replace a lost security token and how allowing more than 1 security token would be nothing more than an overall benefit.

not such a bad idea, as my token doesn't leave my computer either. Which makes it impossible to log into my SE account from anywhere else.

Mine is on my house/car keys :D since i dont leave them on my desk >.> and they usually always in my pocket.

Wouldn't it [theoretically] be possible to use the unique code on the back of your token to order a duplicate token, so that you'd have two that produce the same numbers? That seems like it'd be the easiest way to do what you want.

Seems like a hassle...keeping track of two tokens. I have a hard time keeping track of one. (Even though mine too always stays by my PC).

I have yet to want to sign in from somewhere else other than home. (I guess from my laptop while at university. But I don't trust my mac. That's a completely different story though).

Wouldn't something like a mobile authenticator sort of cover this issue, assuming you have a phone that would allow it? I think instead of doing something awkward like allowing two security tokens, just create a mobile authenticator app. This would also allow people security for free instead of paying the unit price and potential shipping for the security token.

I've been wondering this as well. Kind of worries me.

Obviously if the battery dies you can't use it. I imagine the same applies if you lose it. Just a crazy guess.

If the battery dies or you lose it and you can no longer use it, then you can no longer log in to the game. To remove it from the SE account requires you logging in with it to begin with, so after you've lost it/the battery has died, you can't remove it either.

Maybe I should have worded it better to avoid snarky comments, so here goes. If the battery dies and we can no longer use the key, how then do we log in to our accounts?
