[Thoughts] SHADOWBRINGER SPOILERS - Story related debuffs in battles

Good evening eorzeans,

What would you think about having story related debuffs in battles / MSQ dungeons? Recently i thought, when the WoD absorbed all that light into him/herself i thought about having for example 10% slow debuff on skills / spells or something else. Light surge periodically to have an aoe damage field around us for a few seconds with a dot.

Well Shadowbringers 5.0 is written and published but thats the only example i had at hand.

Then again on the other hand? Wouldnt this make the game harder? Kinda the opposite direction SE is going atm.

Just leaving this here if you want to write your own thoughts on that.

In solo instance battles, sure, story related mechanics can be a thing. However, this isn't something we should want in MSQ dungeons. Four people with 10% slow, constantly exploding throughout the dungeon? Any sort of debuff like that would only be annoying.
