I've looked around a bit, don't see this one documented - setting a gathering effect to increase yield, or rate - seems to be the same - said applied effect lasts the whole of the node session. However, applying a quality effect to increase quality, no matter what I've tried, lasts only one harvesting attempt. This is probably documented somewhere, but I can't find it. Anyone know where this was announced?

Hmm I wonder if you are using the wrong skill or perhaps having a bug? Because i have had no issue with quality skills throughout the entire node.
The dredge skills only work for the next attempt; unearth works as normal for all attempts afaik.
Each gatherer has one-time skills for quality/yield, and persistent skills for quality/yield that last the entire node, make sure you're using the correct skills.
