Confiteor is really underwhelming

I dinged 80 last night and got access to Confiteor, whereupon I was amazed by how... lame it is.
It does a lot of damage, alright, but it feels like a wet noodle.
The animation is over before it begins, with no build-up or pay-off, and the sound effect is a complete dud. This is one of the highest potency attacks in the game, but it feels significantly less impactful than something like Holy Circle, or even the AoE combo.

IMO, the skill's animation needs to change. Make it so there's a few frames of pause between the circle appearing on the ground and the sword shooting out of it, have the sword linger a few frames longer and add an appropriately chunky sound effect.

Makes you wonder why they didn't just reuse the sfx from Orbonne when Agrias used the same move.

I feel the same way about White Mage's Afflatus Misery. It just lacks impact. I have a feeling a lot of jobs have sound effects that were toned down. Like someone was talking about how Gunbreaker's moves lack impact from a sound design standpoint.
