Eh, it's handy to keep track of what form your in. Though a visual change would be nice.

Sorry for the bump, but I recently started a BM and I love it, except for those damn orbs. They cause migraine, and I wish there was a way to disable them. Batteeffect off does nothing sadly. If it was only that simple.....
It's actually a leftover at this point from the era before we had to fancy job gauges on the UI. You use to have to rely on the orbs or checking your buffs (which was still how it worked for most jobs.)
It's usually easier to see the Ice and Fire level your in by staring at your character, but it is on the Black Mage specific UI (even in simple form) so it could easily be a toggle.
Okay I know im being selfish but no. Square has outright removed cool particles from monk and dragoon and i dont want to lose black mage too.
Now if it was a completely optional toggle fine but knowing square they won't even bother and just delete the feature instead

It'd be really funny if they let us turn off the orbs and never the Machinist's toolbox.
