The Machinist is great with the new gameplay style as it is basically a new job in this expansion.
Though due to being very Skill Spam Heavy Job, it can be a killer on button pushing and clicking simultaneously for the fingers.

its not just the fingers. the class is literally "not optimal" to play if you have medium to high latency with all that skill weaving spam lolQuote:

Will agree that is very "spam" heavy now .. but well i still love this version way more then stormblood's version.
Once I got used to it, it is besides the Dancer my favourite damage class right now. Not to hard, no build up mechanic (like Samurai/Monk) and also not boring.
I was curious how other machinist felt about the massive change. I will say I was absolutely lost when I first was reading through the skills. Just a whole lot of non-combo skills. BUT it makes it feel like a gunner now and that’s awesome! I can’t wait to get the robot though.
As someone who use MCH as my Main job since the release in 3.0, I can say this is certainly more towards the Gun type Job I wanted since release.
Now the MCH seems to be developing more into a Heavy Gun Weapon job like the Destroyer from Dungeon Fighter online.
(Still hope for a Modern Assassin DPS Job that use Sword/Gun because that is most likely the only thing that will get me to drop MCH as my Main Job or some how create a Gunblade DPS Job that has the Gunblade called Gunedge that is designed more towards the sword/Gun design of Lightning's Gunblade attacks since Gunbreaker is designed to be Squall's Gunblade and gameplay style with explosive hits instead of firing bullets)
