SMN really was not lacking for button to press. and its not liek tis 2.0 smn with garuda where you wanna line up contagion with the dot etc. sic was honestly enough 99% of the time.
egi assault should really replace the individual bio and miasma and make tridisaster 30 sec cd or something
i was actually thinking something similar when i was playing summoner.
first thing i noticed was aetherflow and trance rotations are like... totally disjointed like your playing two minijobs simultaneously instead of one cohesive thing. Which is fine, it's different than other jobs at least
but then i also noticed the summons have been boiled down to "press these buttons whenever they light up!"
got me thinking why not just make the majority of the spells be commands with ifrit being single target and garuda being aoe and you could literally cut the summoner spell pool in half
could even have bahamut and phoenix using the same buttons or just a small set of empowered ones
I really don't see how they missed something so obvious rather than giving summoner two of every spell for single and aoe
