instanced zones

Notes say that new areas will be instanced, at least while congested.

So now players will instance hop to kill Hunt ranked mobs?

That would depend if they give you the option to hop.

EDIT: Looks like you can choose while entering, sounds a little cumbersome, not quite "hopping"

Yep. Means 3x the super FATEs (akin to Ixion) too.

If it helps it usually dies down within three weeks.

This isn't a new thing, happened in Stormblood and Heavensward. Enjoy it while it lasts.

I think I'm going to go to whichever instance the FATE boss isn't due to spawn in...

Hmm, so for the Aether datacenter, there are 8 servers. So, we get 3 instances of a zone per server? 24 instances of a zone for the data center? That would be a lot of S ranks and special FATEs.

I absolutely will be doing this as well. I still have nightmares over Ixion two years later.

SE will make them pop at the same time in all instances.
