Been having an increase of 90002/90006 error issues,
I have thought to have resolved the issue with the IE solution, which worked for a while. But the last few days its been terrible, constant dc's every 30 minutes EVEN THOUGH I HAVE PERFECTLY FINE INTERNET.
Worse is Square refuses to reimburse players with refunds, despite not being able to play the game because of these errors. What sort of refund policy is that? Consumers have the right to demand refunds if the product/service is not working
Will Square ever address these issues? At least make a post that Square has recognised these issues and make some sort of public statement....

If you can do a traceroute and see the problems you can ask your ISP to route around them, but from what others have said in the past, ISPs are reluctant to do this and so sadly the only solutions sometimes are change ISP or use a 3rd party VPN solution to get round the problems. -

tae97, we apologize for any inconvenience that has occurred when trying to access Final Fantasy XIV. We are able to provide troubleshooting for connection problems but it is limited to making sure your computer's connection is stable. Just as worldofneil stated, you may have to contact your ISP if the troubleshooting suggestions do not work. They may be able to provide more of an insight as to any further suggestions to resolve any concerns you are experiencing. The error messages you are seeing are generic disconnection messages. The more players we have, the more you may be disconnected.

SE don't publish how many active subscribers there are, but the general estimated figure is around 500,000 so 15 in that many... So the reason you don't have problems with other games is that their servers are probably located somewhere else (probably not even in Japan, although that will depend on what you are playing) so when you connect to those servers you taking a completely different route.
For your reference the NA servers are located in California, USA and the European servers are located in Frankfurt, Germany. If you are physically closer to any of those you may wish to consider if transfering is an option (or at least try with another character), but I appreciate that may not be an option and you may have picked Tonberry for a reason.
I hope this has helped to explain and why you need to do a traceroute to find the problem/report it to your Internet provider.
