5.0 Blue Mage Feature Request: Mana Shift

My biggest concern about blue mage in 5.0 is the loss of mana shift as a role action.

I would like to request that blue mage gets this back as a spell, ability, or role action in the future.

I've been doing min ilvl 8 blue mage coil, and it's been a lot of fun. However, I think it will be much much harder to do this sort of 8 blue mage content in the future because of the loss of mana shift. I realize that this is not likely the intended use of blue mage, but it's been great fun to be able to experience old content with this "limited" job.

Most tankbusters (death sentence, ravensbeak, raven's dive) outright kill a blue mage at full health that's not in diamondback, even with Mighty Guard and tank accessories and a vit potion. Because there's no shielding, diamondback is really the only option. This is a huge mp drain over the course of a fight that only becomes possible with the entire group using mana shift. Tank swaps are an option, but using white wind to establish aggro for the swap also costs a lot of mp.

BLU has their own equivalent with Infusion, it restores a single ally HP and MP to max. The only downside being that BLU kills themself in the process so it would seldom be used in a serious situation, not that BLU has many....

Though I don't understand your last paragraph, you're saying BLU was having MP issues so how would giving Mana Shift action to them fix that when it was coming from other jobs?

To clarify, I was trying to say that if you're doing content with 8 blu mages, then the person doing most of the tanking and casting a lot of diamondback will have mp issues. You can work around this for now by having other party members use mana shift on that particular blu mage, but that won't be possible when the role action goes away.
