Bard DoTs

Bard End-game using Iron Jaws to re-apply the DoTs, why not combine Caustic Bite and Stormbite together as 1 ability that apply 2 dots then we can remove Iron Jaws and saved 2 ability slots.

like from lv6-lv29 just Venomous Bite
then at lv30-lv63 add Wind Bite to Venomous Bite and lv64+ is Caustic Bite + Stormbite

I dunno how much this gonna effect the DPS because both abilities have potency on cast then DoT potency after change we gonna lose 1 potency on cast but we get to DoTs the targets faster, this part I'm gonna leave to devs.:p I'm sure its gonna make Bard feel smoother to play. In the end it just my opinion, Thank you!:)

Having a high price for dropping your DoTs is part of the fabric of the job. The media tour build honestly took skill gap cutting a couple steps too far as it is, so this would just be one more step in the wrong direction.

The Bite Mastery trait is well-designed to this end, as it makes dropping DoTs a bit less feelsbad without changing the root dynamic, while also giving a bit of relief to Bard's slow wind-up in fresh target scenarios. I know people write it off as a wasted trait, but it's a pretty good call imo and it's not like it's the only thing at its level slot.

dots now last a lot in 2.0 the dots lasted 18s? , btw what u ask for exist already for the SMN , a spell that apply both dots :)

DoTs for BRD begin to last 30 secs at level 64—and, in 5.0, the DoTs at all levels will be 30 secs. There’s really no need to simply this job even more. As Cetonis has already pointed out, 5.0 BRD will see a decrease in the skill gap for the sake of simplification. As a byproduct of this, it makes the job feel less rewarding as a result for those who can execute it at the highest level. I was honestly disheartened to hear of the changes, and still not entirely sure what I make of them even now after a lot of contemplation.

Applying DoTs to multiple targets—both DoTs—is not an incredibly difficult thing to do. Upkeep and management is part of the job description. I don’t think it needs to be made easier. 4.0 BRD was already malms smoother than the job’s previous incarnation (I actually did not mind bowmage—wouldn’t trade 4.0 BRD for it to come back, though). You can’t get much smoother than butter.

As a BRD main, I agree with the general consensus here. Most DPS jobs have some sort of buff and/or rotation they have to maintain, and if you mess up enough, it takes some time to recover from. Bard has neither a buff (Straight Shot is going away), nor a strict rotation, so there's little more to the job than "keep an eye on your DoTs". If we get an "apply both DoTs" button, there's no longer any penalty for letting our DoTs drop, and it makes a very easy job even easier.

The only real change i don't like about 5.0 BRD is foes and our crit buff being gone
feels like dancer is a burglar and just stole our identity. The other changes to bard are great though.

One DoT that stacks twice might be a better way to make this work? It still costs you two GCDs to DoT up a new target or recover if you make a mistake but also eliminates the need for two buttons that ideally will be pressed no more than once or twice in the whole encounter for a single-target fight. Also it'd take up only one effect slot so you'd get less of the invisible DoTs problem in Eureka and the like.

Dear God no. I get no one wants ability bloat, but we don't want our hotbar to look as barren as when we are leve 15 or so. It's bad enough they gutted the lower level skills as is.
