Suggestion: Hunt mounts

I was wondering if anyone would be interested if they were to introduce hunts as mounts.

Example: Girtab mount

Kill 1000 Girtab (A Rank Hunt) to obtain Girtab whistle.

It would give an incentive for SE to buff the old ARR/HW hunts and allows players to work in farming old hunts as well.

Hope the developer team considers this! ♥

Dev team has already done this - Wyvern mount comes from hunting.

Its an interesting idea, I'm all for it :) Some hunts would be absolutely great as mounts :D

Wyvern and tiger mounts are a bit underwhelming though.

It would greatly add to the hunt system if we got a mount of a hunt from killing that particular hunt a certain number of times. I understand it's probably too much work though.

Okina and Udumbara would make great mounts. Some of them are already mounts, like Okina, Pylraster and Kaiser Behemoth, but under different skins. The Striped Ray mount is a bland grayscale compared to Okina, the Tyrannosaur mount is pink unlike Pylraster and the behemoth mount is a much less colorful red than the hunt is.

Okina in particular is the prettiest creature in the entire game and if nothing else, this one should be a mount. Even if Okina has to die 100 times for it.

You forgot some zeroes.

I honestly don't want any more mounts to be added to hunting unless you can get them with Logs you can trade seals for.

Hunt mounts have got to be the biggest time sink in this game so... sure I guess. There's so many dang mounts in this game, and most of them I hate personally and never work for. But everyone has a favorite. More options is good.

You could kill about 73 per year on one world, 365 per year on a DC with 5 worlds and 584 on a DC with 8 worlds. It depends how long they would want it to take and the amount of worlds you're expected to hunt it on.

One more 0 would be about 2 years on a DC with 8 worlds.

If they were to do this, I would rather them be exchangeable through hunt logs and not locked behind X number of kills like the freaking tiger mount. It's bad enough doing hunts when you have to deal with a) loading times, b) everyone and their mother mobbing the mobs, c) early pullers/snipers, and/or d) people jumping down your throat if you choose to take down an A or S rank (particularly the ARR/HW ones) on your own. (Not speaking from personal experience on the last one)

Ehhh, it's iffy. Not all the Elite Marks are designed to compliment being ridden. Girtab, Marraco, Nahn, etc. then sure, but then you have marks like Vogaal Ja, Forneus, etc. who don't look like something you can practicably ride. Also, there are existing mounts that already share a similar (if not exact) model to the hunt versions; like the Magitek Claw (Hellsclaw), Zani'goh (Drake mount, different color), Croque-Mitaine (either Goobue mounts, with slight differences), Kaiser Behemoth (Behemoth mount), etc. It could be redundant in many situations to add them, especially if an alternative exists.

I also fear doing these with ARR (and HW) hunts will be stressful as most players at this point can solo them within a minute to seconds, made even more easier by the upcoming level cap increase to 80. So attributing a mount to a particular number of kills on a specific ARR-HW elite mark seems short-sighted.
