Sound Dropout?

Since the last update I've had the sound drop out of the game. Happened during a MSQ Dungeon both times. Of course, rerunning the game fixes it, but of course, there is no other way to do that, so you have to finish the dungeon silent.

Any other folks noticed this recently. I've been playing 2 years and it's only started happening in the last week or so. Never before.

It's happened to me occasionally since launch. There is a new file in the benchmar that fixes sound issues with removing or adding sound devices, so that may be a new thing in the expansions.

So are you saying that you can change the sound device on the fly in the Benchmark? That's something we've been wanting, like forever, right? I'll have to go check out my benchmark when I get a chance and see if I can change sound device. If it just tracked the default sound device when it changed that would be cool enough.

It only really does this to me if I change between headphones to speakers and vice versa, but its super annoying.

Yeah this happens to me sometimes, mostly when I'm overloading the CPU/GPU with other "heavy" applications. For example, if I have the benchmark character creator open at the same time I'm running the game this will happen. I'm not sure the real cause but it seems to happen in areas with a lot of people/effects all playing hundreds of sounds. My guess this is more to do with CPU overload?
