So with MP being a fixed 10k at level 80, and Piety now only increasing the potency of MP regen… will this effect be amplified by Lucid Dreaming?
Meaning, will an increase in MP regen from Piety, also boost the effectiveness of Lucid Dreaming proportionally?
Given that other MP regen skills have been removed (Ewer, etc.) would this make Piety a desired stat?

I might be wrong, but from what I understand MP Refresh abilities like Lucid Dreaming have a set refresh ‘potency’ that I don’t believe is affected by the target’s maximum MP. Higher piety will give you more mp recovery outside of Refresh skills, but the amount they restore will always be fixed.
As for it’s desirability, it’s hard to say because I’m unsure exactly how much of a difference piety makes to mp recovery in Shadowbringers. That said, I think that it will still provide negligible DPS boosts compared to Crit/Direct Hit/Determination/even Spell Speed. So I find it unlikely it’ll be desired by healers in general, and justified as ‘you don’t need the extra mp anyway’ -

Piety shouldn't have an effect on that, since as far as I'm aware, it's merely going to modify your base MP regen rate as opposed to being a modifier to MP regen as a whole (Meaning, it would also boost Lucid's MP regen effect)
Piety as a desired stat? Will likely not be the case. It provides no additional throughput with your damage/healing skills (Many of your healing skills are also oGCD and or MP less...)
At best, you'll have a certain breakpoint to reach with Piety to cover your spell costs and then it will be an ignored stat. Similar to how it is now.
Essentially, unless healers start having their DPS(/Healing) capabilities capped by MP costs - Even with new, buffed Lucid Dreaming - Piety will never be a desired stat, as Crit/DH/Det/SpS will all be actual gains in output. And given that SpS is generally an inferior stat I don't see high SpS builds that would thus require higher Piety to meet their more frequent casts being a thing. -

You’re right about it being more valuable than currently because they’ve removed a lot of mp regen stuff. At the same time though, from what I hear MP costs are also significantly lower in Shadowbringers, especially for aoe dps spellsQuote:

This train of thought does mean we should ask a question on the same tangent - does Piety affect Assize and Aetherflow? I doubt it, but we'll need to test this once we get the full build. -
