Will Trusts Create a Raubahn Extreme situation on Launch Day?

With the introduction of trusts do you think Trusts will boggle down the servers on day 1 like the previous Raubahn Extreme situation with Stormblood's release?

I play tank and I still want to do the first dungeon with trusts just for the dialogue between the NPCs in the dungeon.

Do you think the servers are strong enough or do you think there will be other problems on day 1.

I'm hoping that there are zero issues and that everyone will be able to use the Trust system without issues.

I am sure everything should be fine. As long as people do as recommended and travel to another world on the same DC if there ends up being any connection issues. XD Especially us on Balmung.

I trust things will be fine.

It depends on a few things.

1.) While not pertaining to Trusts per se, we do know there won't be solo instance fights until after atleast the first dungeon. This is a big part of what caused problems in SB's early access and thus should be a bit better in SHB.

2.) If Trusts truly do start to make problems the dev team has already stated they will turn them off until things get more stable. So if Trusts are the primary reason for a Raubahn Extreme style bottleneck then it'll be delt with much quicker.

3.) It also depends on whether Trusts will be available for all SHB dungeons, or just MSQ related ones. Presuming we are getting the same amount of dungeons to level with as HW and SB got and that atleast one dungeon is not a MSQ dungeon again, I'd presume it would be the lvl 71 dungeon. And if problems start occuring when a majority of players are on a non-required instance then I could see Trusts getting disabled a bit earlier to help deal with the load again till its settled.

I'm ready for the instance servers (DF) to implode due to almost everyone wanting to use their trusts, thus I'm foreseeing that they'll disable them for some days. I hope that I'll be wrong.

About that. If FFXIVCensus is to be believed, Balmung has fallen quite far from grace when it comes to population. They cite Gilgamesh, Leviathan and Cactuar to have all surpassed it. While I don't tend to like that site, it wouldn't entirely surprise me. A very large portion of Balmung's raid community bailed, what with the server relocation.

As for the topic at hand. I worry about that myself. It's one of the reasons I had hoped they would keep Trusts off for the initial week or two. What they absolutely cannot do is put a solo instance five quests into the MSQ. If that happens and the servers buckle again...

I still don't have a firm grasp on what content you can do with Trusts. Is there more information somewhere?

Which I can understand but as a per DC-basis, it is still the most crowded on the Crystal DC so it's congestion could cause problems much like the Raubahn insident. This is the very reason for the World visit system so people can go to another world and hopefully find one less congested worlds to mitigate the pressure on the server.

I.E Before WV: Only one line to get into a single open world instance with only access to one world.
After WV: One line per world for a open world instance but access to up to 6-10 other worlds with their own instance, that which might not be as crowded as another.

It looks like they're aware of the potential issue with Trusts and have a plan.

I guess we'll find out on launch if their "emergency button" will work.

I'm more concerned about DDoS attacks and how long they'll last during launch week.
