A few changes I'd like to see in Shadowbringers and beyond...

Hey there, for quite some time now I noticed some small things bugging me. I wouldn't go so far to call them issues but in terms on convinience it would really be an improvement. I'm not adressing the big problems some players have with some parts of the game since most of those already have their own threads. ^^
Long story short, here I go. Please tell me what you think and also what minor improvements you would like to see.

- Possibility to extract a specific amount from an item stack in e.g. your retainers inventory, like you can do with your chocobo saddle bag. Scratch that, I was blind. ^^

- Buy only the amount you want from a Market Boards offer. Currently you always have to buy the full stack that is offered. This simply makes no sense, this is like e.g. going to the super market and the cashier tells you you have to buy the whole box of apples when you just wanted to buy two.

- Access Chocobo saddle bag while interacting with someone else. Currently the saddle bag blocks every other interaction.

- Glamour Dresser and Logout-bed for housing. No need to walk back to the inns or to the grand companys.

- Increase the number of glamour plates to 20 or 30 (matching the current number of classes plus a few more).

- Allow glamour plates to be accessed and activated anywhere outside of instances.

- Improve the UI scaling. If you set the zoom level of most UI elements to something else than 100% that element often becomes chiseled/edged/something.

- Move unique currencys like raid tokens, teleport tickets, Special-FATE drops and such to the currency tab. This would greatly improve inventory management and gives it more space without giving it more space. ^^

- Increase the cap for old and standard special currencys, like Poetics, Seals, Crafter/Gatherer tokens.

- Allow running Alliance-Raids unsync. Scratch that also. ^^

- Toggle title screen background image OR automatically set the background image to that of the expansion a player is currently in (e.g. player is in Heavensward content with the last character he/she was logged in, so give him the title screen from HW).

- Increase the number of chat windows. 4, with Battle being locked makes it hard to keep track of conversations sometimes.

- Chat text scaling should be able to get smaller than the current smallest size.

- Increase the number of hot bars. 12 would fit for me.

- Modify the Emote tab. Its currently hard sometimes to find the emote you're looking for. Favs are helping but this tab is also limited.

- Give us more GATES. More. Different. Old ones. And maybe add different difficulitys with different rewards to make them more challenging and diverse.

- Add an option to remove repeatable quest markers from the map. Like when you're completely done with a beast tribe and don't wanna have those markers on your map anymore.

- Increase the Orchestrions playlist items. Only having 8 items on the playlist is kinda sad considering all the great music there is.

- Add option to let specific groups of players enter your house. Like FC only or friends only or determined players only. The current solution everyone or nobody is -sry- crap.

- Allow 'Overworld-Alliances' or 'Open Alliances'. Meaning to connect player groups like they are in Alliance Raids but outside of instances. This would make it easier to organize large, temporary groups of player, e.g. for hunting and special FATES.

- Make Guildleves Guildhests great again...

- Gender-specific idle stances to be available for both sexes. For example, while I like the males DRK idle stance the females is badass af. So why not having both? ^^

- I'm not that into fishing but, please, please add a fishing tackle box or something. This stuff kills your regular inventory.

- What happened to the Hunting Log? Please add lv60/70/80 content and also for the new jobs since Heavensward.

- Add more administration to Linkshells. Currently you can only add, kick, promote, demote people. I would like to see a 'Last online' mark like in FCs member list. Also please add option to sort members by name. Increase maximum members. In regard of Hunt Linkshells, 128 simply doesn't fit.

- Maybe add stacks to the Sprint action, like it's coming to certain abilitys?

Sooo, the following is something bigger and would require the Devs to go through some bigger changes. But again, this is all a bit mimimi from my side and not really required. Still, if we get one thing or the other I would appreciate it.

- Increase the cameras Zoom OUT level by a few yalms. Especially when fighting giant bosses the current zoom level doesn't even allow you to see the mob from head to feet. Also this would be a nice addition for taking screenshots. ^^

- Level Sync for Hunts or something similar to prevent old hunting content from being far too easy.

- Veteran rewards for after the first year of playtime?

- Add the Bahamut raid series to the raid roulette again or add more roulettes for ARR raids, HW raids, SB raids and so on.

- Can we get the option to try on glamours from the Mog Station to our own character? This would require either the Mog Station to load our character somehow or make all store glams availabe ingame just to try them on. Seeing the glams on the preview images on other races/genders makes it hard to guess whether to like it or not.

- Preview for Housing objects? Possible anyhow? And I'm not speaking of a web solution like http://en.ff14housing.com/ I want to test it on my actual house ingame.

- This is some huge request: How about a player-based database, some sort of compendium, that logs all gear items you have ever owned or seen. What for? Easy, an overall-glam-database! Currently when planning on glamours you have to travel a lot, the MB, the end game merchants, beast tribes, Gold Saucer and still you can't access all because of e.g. dungeon gear. I would like to have an ingame-database where I can try on all that various stuff and give hints where/how to acquire them.

- A personal Agenda. Let players pick from various (daily/weekly) tasks to set up their personal agenda. I currently do this on paper but why not making it digital. ^^

- Don't restrict certain abilitys in Alliance Raids to your own party. For example: As WHM I can Cure and Regen other alliance players but I can't Devine Benison put on someone else except my own party.

- With more and more Dutys coming up, especially with Shadowbringers right in front of us Duty Finder gets messed up even more. Please think of a new sorting system / categories.

- Increase Grand Companys ranks and also add more options to spend your Company Seals on.

- And finally: Flying in ARR. <3

Pheeew, that's a lot to think and talk about. Again, most of this is just a comfort thing. Please let me know what you think and what you like to add. Also, thx for taking time reading all this.

Try right-clicking the item and seeing what the options are. This is definitely already a thing, since I do it all the time.

You can already do this, though you have to setup a PF for it, and you do need a minimum of 3 people since each party needs at least 1 person in it.

The veteran system was originally setup for several years worth of rewards, but they realized that just restricted newer players from some cool glamours/mounts/whatever. As such, they moved those old veteran rewards into the achievement-ticket redeem system instead, so you can buy them with achievement points. Because of all that, I don't expect the veteran system to ever be expanded beyond its current state (and because they've realized that they make more money by putting stuff on the Mogstation instead...).

When were they ever great? They add DoH ones with each new expansion (maybe DoL too? I forget.), but they did away with adding any newer DoW/DoM ones because they were dumb and boring.

I did a mistake here. I wanted to refer to the Guildhests.. Sry, my bad.

A "few" changes.

I agree and like most of them :)

I always add to these threads, in hope that at least one of these are addressed:

1) Make the chat text stop auto-scrolling when you are reading back old messages. This is EXTREMELY annoying in a busy environment, the chatbox keeps pushing down when you're trying to read something - or at least give this as an option in the text config;

2) Chat bubbles for players. This might seem minor, but it's extremely useful in dungeons, raids, or other places where you'll most likely end missing something said in the chatbox because you need your eyes glued on the encounter. Chat bubbles allow us to see right in our field of view if someone said something of importance;

3) They're doubling the glamour dresser capacity, but I fear that 400 is still a low number. I think 600 is the minimum comfortable to even not the biggest collector of glams;

4) Make The Moogle Rod and Binding Rod mogstation items 2h weapons, so people who purchased them can make actual use of these items

5) Let us use a more compact version of enemy hp bar as an option;

6) Make the Masked Carnivale rewards more interesting;

7) Let BLU run PotD (and HoH in the future) solo! That place was MADE for a BLU solo challenger;

8) When you give the Egi-glams, can we have faerie-glams too? Other colors of carbuncles, or a small moogle? Maybe even one of the new ShB faerie people;

9) When the inevitable FFVII cross over event happens in the light of the Remake, can we have items for girls as well? Last tim, with Lightning, was in ARR... ever since, only male protagonist glams were given;

10) I don't know if this is planned in the long run... But can we have sort of a Dancing Interface to create our own dance steps, like BRD has many instruments for the song?

I'd like an optional feature to give me some kind of additional feedback when I'm attacking and it lands a hit on the enemy. I rely quite a bit on audible and visual feedback to know if, for example, my Disembowel landed (there have been times where I thought I activated it but i didn't) so I know when to use Chaos Thrust.

It's not an issue most of the time, but things can get kind of confusing when lots of special effects are exploding in my face from casters.

I knew i'd forget something. ^^

Restructure all of the merchants 'tags'. I've noticed that some merchants here and there have a tag under their name that doesn't fit their offer. Or even worse that one Gobby in Idleshire that sells Materia, he has no tag at all. To unify all that would help to easily determine the right NPC you're looking for.

All the ARR Beast Tribe quests should reward the related currency, not only those last quest-NPCs unlocked.

Make external links in the chatbox clickable and connect it to the browser.

Let us choose which Materia to retrieve from gear and do not automatically select from bottom to top.
