Small UI Hint At Non-Enmity & Focused Target Monster Aggro

It's not a huge issue (or really not one, usually lol) but I thought it could be helpful and just "comfortable" info knowing when a monster has had it's enmity mechanics disconnected/fixed to a target.

Two thoughts (both options could be used together, I prefer A stuff):


A)

When a monster has no table (doesn't care about aggro, does what it wants):

• Use the party enmity icon, change the icon to something else like a square that is cycling through the enmity with a ? in the center of the square (red, yellow, green, + ?).

When a monster has a fixed table (fixed aggro on one target):

• Put chains around the enmity square (showing that whoever it's attacking it wont stop), this is different than above in that you use this one when it's a fixed target that wont rotate.

Optional third visual, because some monsters have fixed targets by an energy beam that can also sometimes change targets based on beam interaction (like prey from the dragonflys or the claws that hold a target down or the shadow hands that 1 hit ko a target):

• Here you could have energy "chains" of the color that the monster is using. I feel while it "could" be a neat different from chains as suggest above.. I don't think it's really needed unless the UI / battle team thought "eh, sure okay" lol.

B)

• When you have a monster selected it's target is glowing or chained or something to show that the monster has no interest in changing targets even if you tried (a little bit like ram voice is giving interrupt-able information).

Personally I think (A) options are easier to quickly read but I just thought (B) could help share some information.

Anyway it's not that I think we're doomed without it but just ran a dungeon with a few monsters that ignored aggro tables and since it had been a while I spent a few moves wondering why they didn't want me lol (then realized/remembered "doesn't matter what I do").

The targets active target will have an A on the party list rather than a 1, or whatever number of enmity order they're currently in.
So if say Ifrit turns to blast the healer with their mechanic, they should have an A on their enmity priority for a moment.

Does that work for the other stuff too (like monsters that refuse to read the aggro table even if you're at the top)?

Also I didn't know that so thanks~! I don't normally read that list too much since you just glance for a second to be like "yeah I'm fine" or "omg use diversion plz.. oh okay of course not- time to spam some aggro" lol.

I'd still like it to be in the enmity icons but it's good to know if it's already somewhere on the screen, I can check there after "huh, what's going on". I prefer the monster list since I read it for monster casts and stuff that I should be interrupting or if someone is attacking something I'm not looking at particularly hard.

I couldn't tell you to be sure lol.
But it does happen for a lot of scripted stuff. For say a manticore that just runs around swiping at whoever he wants? I haven't checked recently.

Well it's good to know still, so thanks lol :D. Now I know where to look for additional info if I needed/wanted it. Like I said before I don't think the OP desire is something we'd be lost without but I just like having a lot of info in a small area (the enemy party list is one of my favorite boxes, at least as tank), so I don't have to eye dart around the screen too much hehe.

No I think your ideas are good too.
More visual indicators the better. Some people still don't know there's enmity bars on the party list! So every bit helps lol.
