With bards being able to play music freely when they reach level 30, what would you people think about dancer having a similar option? maybe an interface could be pulled up and each button has an associated dance move, so like bards you could perform. I think this would be a wonderful idea and would love to know others opinion on the idea.
I actually like the idea :) It could be fun, and at least it won't be random notes one after another for those of us who can't play music (yeah I just hit the bongos like an idiot whenever I go in performance when bored lol)
As hard as i try to imagine this in my head it always results in something awkward.
I'd be for a system that linked with bard's performance like step matching or something, either freeform or in a minigame of sorts

They are, but like the post above you suggested, they could have it be a freeform thing, rather than one of the permutations they'd get in combat.
I would love something like this, and the foundation work for it is technically already there. You can already string several emotes - especially the dance ones - together without having to pause and wait for each animation to finish, so I think it would just be a matter of making more animations for different dance steps.
