Questions about the new lilies

The new lilies are gained over time while in combat, does anyone know what happens when combat ends? Does the gauge continue charging and then stop, pause where it was when combat ends, or cancel charging completely? It's probably only an important distinction for dungeons, but I'd still like to know.

Also, currently we only gain lilies while in combat and if the heal restores HP, is the same true for the new blood lily? If you use Afflatus Solace out of combat or on a target with full HP will it still add to the blood lily?

Under the current system, lillies are not generated if you use cure/cure II while out of combat (ie no mob has aggro on you), even if they do restore HP. Since it seems they've made being in combat even more important - my bet would be that you still need to be in combat to make progress, and that HP must be restored.

The videos I've seen so far haven't really examined this but if I notice anything (and someone else hasn't already posted a definitive answer), I'll update.

Thankfully the bar pauses and both forms of Lilies are preserved in between pulls. Building Lilies during a dungeon shouldn't be a problem.
