WHM Artifact Gear

I'd like to request more "natural" looking WHM artifact gear.

The new AF gear seems to follow the silk gown theme we've had since Heavensward. I just feel that WHMs should be a bit more natural and modestly dressed. Comfy fabrics, hoods, etc...

By "modest" you mean not giving the female version frilly underwear as their 'leg gear' for once, right? ;_;

But seriously, I like... well, the idea of pretty gowns for AF gear (that look like nice coats for the male version - I have a male Elezen healer as well) and I think the AF gear is where they really get a free pass for elaborate rather than practical gear, but the AF2/3 sets have been disappointing there.

The plain 'tunic' part of AF2 looks strange, and overall it sits badly on both genders. (I'd maybe use the male skirt-and-pants for my female character if I could, but the pants evaporate.)

And AF3 would have been nice if they didn't give the female version that fan collar that clips through everything.

But AF4 has me excited, because (unless the female version has weird alterations again) it looks really nice. It's like they went back to the idea of AF2 and said "how can we make this not awful?" - it fits better, as far as I can tell, and doesn't have that awkward blank section in the front.

Also the detachable sleeves will have good potential for combining with other costume pieces.

So this sort of feels like the first good AF gear for me (besides the first one) - admittedly better for female characters though.

It would be interesting if they go a different direction with the next set, though. They could do with another shorter robe.

The artifact gear just constantly reinterprets the gear worn by the classic sprites. I wouldn't expect drastic changes. This game's gear aesthetic is generally pretty awful.

I understand this, but I wish they would go with something that looks more "approved by the elementals" and less like I've just raided the Holy See's closet.

I'm not saying our AF should be a raincoat but details I would like to see more of is the flower head band, the loose fitting boots and the laces on the shoulders.

I'd really love for Raya-O's coat to be available! I always thought it was a nice design. (The 'feathery' headband seems to be strictly for the Seedseers - all three of them wear it - but just the flower would be nice.)

Also, having just hit Lv70 with my male alt tonight, I have to say the AF3 coat doesn't look as nice as I thought it did when I first tried it on ages ago. It doesn't move nicely, although the Elezen running animation might not be helping that impression.

I think it has too many layers in the coat. The male version might have worked better if it stopped at that greyish part around knee-length and didn't have the white layer below it.

Sadly, Yoshi and the dev team think of healers, especially WHM as basically gentle holy female priests in gowns. Nothing like the conjuror roots we all wanted.

Its actually surprising how sex defined each role is in the game. All tanks = male all healers = female by dev standards.
