Shadowbringers Main Title Screen - Kinda Ugly.

I've got to say, this is probably my least favorite startup screen.

Animation: Yellow "light" flames are moving upwards.

The Yellow and the purple is a bit of an eyesore with the animation. It feels like the background colors need to be toned down a lot, or add in different colors. The flames move upwards which draws a lot more unnecessary attention to them.

Any thoughts?

i Kinda like it. think its fitting. That said, id love it if they gave us the option to choose which startup screen we wanted to use

I like the umbral atmosphere, actually.

I don't mind the yellow as much as those trees on the bottom part.

It's my favorite to date, actually. From the lore we know the First is in an eternal day, so the screen symbolizes carving through the veil of light into the night on the other side; the starry sky looks beautiful in contrast to the flames of light, and the forest at the bottom is a really neat addition.

The mix of dark and light looks bad for their text display, I think.

I prefer more abstract backgrounds - the flames for Stormblood are fine in an "un-noticeable" way for the brief time the menu is there.

I like it, but I wonder if it would be hard for them to let players choose their title screen. If it's an easy thing to set up that could be nice. Roulette title screen option even, maybe lol.

That colour scheme is actually very sophisticated and magnificent. Yellow and Purple are supposed to go together.

It perfectly exhibits what is called "Complementary Colours" in colour theory. Every artist worth their salt knows that there is a certain basic method in which colours go next to each other... yellow and purple, blue and orange, red and green. Here is a simple colour wheel chart that helps explain...

A more complex chart exhibiting hues and shades will look something like this one below. In addition, the colour animations you see in the screen are obviously intended to look vibrant and give a sense of consistent movement. if they are toned down, they will look washed out and will not trigger the design intent.
